What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated 29 August 2026
Pre-launch draft
BookitUp is not yet taking bookings. This page describes how the service is designed to work and is published so the terms are visible before anyone is asked to pay anything. It has not been through legal review and is not a contract. The binding version will be published before bookings open, and anyone on the waiting list will be told when it is.
Who we are
BookitUp is operated by [REGISTERED ENTITY NAME], registered in Pakistan at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Privacy questions go toinfo@bookitup.net.
What we collect
When you join the waiting list
Your email address, and nothing else. We do not ask for a name, a phone number or an event date to put you on the list.
When you use the product
- Account details — name, email, phone number, and a hashed password. We never store your password in a readable form.
- Event details — the occasion, date, city, guest count and budget you tell us, because that is what a search is made of.
- Bookings — what you booked, from whom, the agreed scope and price, and the messages exchanged with that vendor about it.
- Payment records — amounts, dates and status. Not card numbers: those go directly to the payments partner and never reach our systems.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, used to keep the service working and to spot abuse.
Why we collect it
| Purpose | What it uses |
|---|---|
| Running a booking | Account, event and payment details — without these there is no booking |
| Building your shortlist | Date, city, guest count, budget and category |
| Resolving a dispute | The booking record and the message thread attached to it |
| Fraud and abuse prevention | Technical data and payment patterns |
| Telling you your city has opened | Your waiting-list email address only |
Who it is shared with
- The vendor you book — your name, contact details and the event details they need to deliver. A vendor you have only shortlisted gets nothing.
- Our payments partner([PAYMENTS PARTNER]) — what is needed to process and hold the payment.
- Infrastructure providers — hosting, email delivery and error monitoring, acting on our instructions and nothing else.
- Where the law requires it — a valid legal order, or to protect someone's safety.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long it is kept
- Waiting-list email — until you unsubscribe.
- Account and booking records — while your account is open, and then for as long as tax and financial-record rules require.
- Message threads on a booking — kept with the booking, because they are the evidence a dispute is judged against.
- Technical logs — a rolling short retention window.
What you can ask for
- A copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction of anything wrong
- Deletion of your account and its data, except records we are legally required to keep, such as completed transactions
- To stop receiving email from us, at any time
Email info@bookitup.net and we will respond within 30 days.
